Beach Closing 2022
Thank you to everyone that came out to Beach Closing!
It was a beautiful night at our lake. Special thanks to our set up crew: Tricia and Brian Curiale, Lindsay and George Smith, Steve Boianelli, Dave Martin, Melanie Gessman, Hillary Ellis, Lauren White & Kate Brady.
Help Needed with Off-season Trash Collection at the Beach
TLA is looking for families to volunteer to help with the trash/recycling at
the lake during the offseason. The link to the Sign Up Genius is below.
You would be in charge of taking the trash up the evening of the day you
selected and getting the cans back to the beach after it has been
collected the following day. The Sign Up Genius is organized by week
and tells you whether it’s just trash or trash & recycling that need to go
out. Please see the link for more info and consider selecting a week to
help!
Killdeer Maintenance and Lake Lowering
Killdeer lake will be lowered in October in order to mow the dam and conduct
other maintenance around the lake. We anticipate that the lake will be lowered
through the end of November.
Phragmites Watch
Phragmites (Phragmites Australias) is a common invasive reed found
throughout New Jersey. We have Phragmites popping up in different locations
along our lakes edges. If you are a lakefront homeowner, you must cut and
control this plant to prevent it from spreading. You can google Phragmites
Australias if you are unclear as to what it looks like. Contact the Lake
Committee at tamaraclakeswater@gmail.com if you are uncertain about its
presence on your property.
It is time to take your boat
home where it is safe
because:
School is out and you
won't be using it
anymore this year.
The lifeguard is not at the
beach monitoring
activities.
The lake is being lowered,
so the boating season is
over.
All boats must be off of the
boat racks and off of TLA
property by Halloween
SAVE THE DATE!

TLA Beach and Trails connecting to the beach are smoke-free
REMINDER TO ALL DOG OWNERS:
In order for everyone to safely enjoy our open spaces and walking trails, Medford Township and the TLA Board of Directors would like to offer a reminder that, per Chapter 66 of the Medford Township Administrative code, dogs must be kept on a leash. Also, dog owners are required under this same ordinance to remove their pet's waste from our open space and trails. Pet waste is not only offensive, but it can pollute water as it is washed by rain into our lakes. Help keep our lakes clean by doing your part to clean-up after your dogs.
Thank you!
Did You Know???
It’s illegal to dispose of brush, trees and yard material on common grounds. We still have people throwing their brush and tree limbs in the common grounds. Please dispose of properly!
We are starting weekly pickup basketball for adults on Sundays. Games will start at 9am at the beach court. Feel free to come earlier to warm up. Text Andrew Massaro (609-828-4004) with any questions.

Why has the Medford-Vincentown Rotary put on this fantastic parade year after year? All you need to do is walk down Main Street and see the hundreds of kids all dressed in custom and excitedly waiting for the first float to come by. It's a magical night that brings the community together and has grown to attract 30, 000 spectators and participants. With marching bands and cheerleaders, princesses and fireman the Medford-Vincentown Rotary Halloween parade is a family friendly site to see.
The Parade starts at 7:00pm, Main Street closes to traffic at 6:00pm. The 1 mile long
parade starts at the float staging ground located at St. Mary's of the Lakes School and
continues East onto Fire House Lane then turns right onto Main Street and continues
south to Maurice and Everett Haines School.
